Governor Baker, Chairman Hughes Statements On The Passing Of Barbara Anderson

BOSTON -- Governor Charlie Baker and MassGOP Chairman Kirsten Hughes released the following statements today regarding the passing of Citizens for Limited Taxation President and longtime taxpayer advocate Barbara Anderson:

Governor Charlie Baker: "Barbara Anderson was funny, smart, and edgy. For decades, she was the most effective taxpayer advocate in the Commonwealth and her tireless work positively impacted public policy at all levels, making government more accountable to the people. I am very sorry to hear of her passing and my thoughts and prayers are with Chip and her family."

MassGOP Chairman Kirsten Hughes: "Barbara Anderson was a principled and tenacious advocate for Massachusetts taxpayers for decades. Her willingness to fight for the notion that government should live within its means and allow working families to keep more of their hard-earned money has made our Commonwealth a better place. On behalf of the MassGOP, I want to extend my deepest condolences to her family, friends and co-workers."
