BOSTON -- Tonight, Republican Patrick O'Connor secured victory in the special election for the Plymouth and Norfolk state senate district. O'Connor, the Weymouth Town Council President, will succeed former GOP Senator Bob Hedlund, who was elected Mayor of Weymouth last year.
