DeCoste Secures Victory in the 5th Plymouth District

BOSTON – Yesterday, after two days of hand recounts, Representative Rhonda Nyman (D-Hanover) conceded the race in the 5th Plymouth District. Republican Representative-elect David DeCoste officially won the seat by 49 votes.

“On behalf of the Massachusetts Republican Party, I would like to congratulate Representative-elect David DeCoste. Throughout this campaign season, David worked tirelessly to spread his message and to win every vote,” said Kirsten Hughes MassGOP chairman. “Ultimately David won because he ran a positive, issues-based campaign that resonated with the people of the 5th Plymouth District.
