With SJC Decision, Dems Owe Public An Explanation On Outlandish New Spending Plans

BOSTON -- MassGOP Chairman Kirsten Hughes released the following statement challenging Democrats to explain which new taxes they want to raise in order to pay for their massive new spending proposals:

"Democrats had already proven themselves incapable of being responsible stewards of our tax dollars with their massive pay raise earlier this session, and now that the Supreme Judicial Court has ruled the graduated income tax plan unconstitutional, they've lost even more credibility when it comes to fiscal management. Jay Gonzalez and Bob Massie owe the public an explanation as to which other taxes they intend to raise to pay for the billions they have proposed in new public spending." -MassGOP Chairman Kirsten Hughes
